I consider myself a moderate, but Hilary is a socialist. I am an American I do not like socialism, and this is not what my teachers taught me it is what I know from studying the issue.

British teacher jailed for naming a Teddy Bear in the middle east

KHARTOUM, Sudan - A British teacher jailed for insulting Islam after allowing her students to name a teddy bear Muhammad was released Monday when Sudan's president pardoned her, a British Embassy spokesman said.

The conviction of Gillian Gibbons under Sudan's Islamic Sharia law shocked Britons and many Muslims worldwide. It also inflamed passions among many Sudanese, some of whom called for her execution.
Gibbons escaped harsher punishment that could have included up to 40 lashes, six months in prison and a fine.
In a written statement given to President Omar al-Bashir and read by a British mediator, Gibbons said she did not intend to offend anyone and had great respect for Islam.

I could not believe this when I read it. I am a future teacher, and it takes a lot of dedication to teach in foreign places. I am suprised the British did not threaten physical force, if it had been America you know we would have. In this case that would not have been a bad thing.

This was a video made during the gulf war for troops. It was made by actors and singers in support of the troops despite how they felt about the war. Why can't we do this now? Why does not supporting a war make it right to cut supplies to the troops?
