WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Expressing hope that the future of Tibet and China will move beyond mistrust, the Dalai Lama accepted the the Congressional Gold Medal from President Bush Wednesday during a ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda.

I hope the chinese remain our allies, but Americans don't fear them and they need to learn that. We'll give our medal to anyone we want, Why? Because were a republic and we don't let a socialist country tell us what to do.
